幸福是火博体育的支柱之一 战略计划, with the goal of continuing to foster a creative and inclusive community.

In alignment with this institutional commitment, 火博体育大学 administered a Diversity and 公平校园气候调查 in the spring semester of 2019 (Feb. 2019年4月4日,到 2019年3月17日). The survey was developed by the Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium (HEDS) whose members 是 predominantly private, liberal arts colleges.

The HEDS多样性和公平校园气候调查 is designed to measure campus support for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and to review issues of discrimination 和骚扰. The survey is administered to obtain feedback from the entire campus community – students, faculty and staff – with the goal of gaining an improved understanding of:

  • perceptions of Skidmore’s overall climate toward inclusion;
  • perceptions of how Skidmore supports diversity and equity;

Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium (HEDS) is an organization of colleges and universities committed to sharing data, knowledge and expertise to advance undergraduate liberal arts education, inclusive excellence and student success.

The Committee on Intercultural and Global Understanding (CIGU) created a team of campus 合作者. hed buttionThrough the efforts of campus-wide 合作者, 50% of the Skidmore student population 完成调查. This level of participation is more than double the national 平均. Student participation rates were significantly higher than previous survey efforts administered to the Skidmore community such as the National Survey of Student 参与(较量). 教师 and staff have historically had strong participation rates 内部调查.
